What is a personal chef?Great question! A personal chef is a culinary professional who creates customized meals for clients in their homes.

Who needs a personal chef?People with busy work lives that do not have the time and patience for cooking such as busy business professionals, new parents, busy working families, seniors, people with specific diets, people recovering from surgery or illness, etc.

How does a personal chef work?It’s pretty simple! We offer clients a pretty straight-forward service with simple meal plan packages, depending on you and your family needs. When can you start servicing me?We can start servicing within as soon as you are ready and your onboarding paperwork is completed. Before we start serving you, we require all clients to fill out the Client Intake Form. This will help help us determine your dietary restrictions, and your likes and dislikes.

Do I have to be home?Not necessarily, as it depends on your comfort. Most of our clients give our chefs the access codes gates or copies of house keys.

Do you provide catering service?We don’t focus on large crowd catering, but we do offer small in-home private dining gatherings. See Private Dining page for more details on service and pricing.

How do your food options compare to frozen foods?Frozen food have a lot of preservatives and GMO’s that might have an impact in your health. We only use natural and organic ingredients in our cooking.

Do you have offer vegetarian, vegan, paleo or whole30 options?"Yes — we offer them all. Please contact us for more information, so we can best help you. You can also view our Specialty Diets page for extended dietary options we offer.

Do you perform background checks for your chefs?Yes, we do thorough background checks on all of our new chef candidates we hire.

What areas do you service?We currently service the San Francisco Bay Area and Peninsula. A traveling fee maybe be applied to your bill if we provide services outside of our service area. Soon we will be offering services in Napa and Sonoma Valley County. Visit our Contact page for extended service areas.

I have dogs, should they be kenneled?"Yes, we love dogs and want to keep them and our chefs safe.

Are personal chef services expensive?It depends on your budget and the plan you choose. Hiring a personal chef is a luxury, and anyone can subscribe to such a service who has a budget for it. Hiring a personal chef means no hassle in waiting in line or waiting for food delivery. We do all of the custom weekly menu planning for you. Food is cooked, label, and stored in your fridge ready to eat!

Are you insured?Yes. We are fully insurance and bonded as a personal chef company via the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA)

Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?If applicable, yes absolutely! We respect you and your privacy

Could I buy your services for someone else?Absolutely! You could purchase a E-Gift Card with our gift card link at the top of the page. We use Square Capital, LLC as a third party vendor for our gift card service. Physical cards will become available for purchase in late summer or early fall.

Can I cancel service anytime? What is your policy?The good thing about our company is that there is no contract signed between the clients and us. You may cancel, pause, and resume service at any time. However, if do not need service on a particular week, you will need to give us one week notice; any notice given less than 7 days before service will result in a $50.00 cancellation fee, which will be applied to your next cook day bill. How do payments work?We accept all major credit cards and ACH as payment. We process all invoice payments via Quickbooks/Intuit. A bill will be sent you via email and usually processed every Friday of each week. PROCESSING FEES Debit/Credit Card: 3.4% ACH Payment: 1.00%
